The guys from Proenza Schouler have once again brought us a collection that is new and inventive. Doing a complete transformation from the 50’s inspired collection they did last season, the new collection has an asian-warrior inspired theme with a bold color palette consisting of maroons, burnt oranges and whites! Definitely one of my favorite shows of this season! What do you guys think?

Who said cloaks are only for the clergy? New York based designer Lindsey Thornburg is one of our favorites. Taking vintage blankets and re-purposing them into cloaks her designs are refreshing and unique. If you make it out east make sure to check out her new shop in Manhattan located on the Lower East Side. We promise you won’t be dissapointed!
Supreme has unveiled their new Spring 2012 campaign on the streets of New York and London. The campaign features the heard to get and notable Kate Moss rocking a block Supreme t-shirt. Needless to say we’re always down with a little Kate Moss. Once again Supreme makes moves to keep the crown as the most coveted street wear brand crossing the boundaries into the high fashion realm.

NYFW is in full effect! We’ve been crazy here at Community Collection prepping for our first massive photo and video shoot for you as well as gearing up for Magic in Vegas. So much fashion is happening this week! Finally getting caught up on shows, the first to stop me in my tracks was from Chicago based duo Shane Gabier and Chris Peters’ label, Creatures of the Wind. The collection is “inspired by The Secret Commonwealth of Elves, Fauns, and Fairies, a seventeenth-century book by the Scottish Episcopalian minister Robert Kirk in which he collected his parishioners’ tales of the supernatural.” Nicole Phelps at Style.com referred to the collection as “folksy, but with a couture touch.” Loving these lewks.
