Party Recap!

Who: Commuity Collection, Kanon Vidka, Izze, Coco Cafe…….

What: Do it for the Kids

Where: M. Herrington Gallery Venice, CA

It’s never a bad time to throw a party, especially one for a good cause! A few weeks ago, with the help of Kanon Vodka, Izze, and Coco Cafe we decided to make it happen. We came up with the idea to sell Herschel bags & backpacks benefiting the kids of Flying Kites Global, a charity dedicated to helping orphaned children around the world.

People poured in throughout the night to hear amazing jams courtesy of DJ Charlie Eisner, enjoy specialty cocktails from Kanon appropriately named  ”The Flying Kite” and “The Community Collection.”

And don’t you worry, Coco Cafe provided the most delicious coffee coconut water infused drinks for those who were concerned with staying hydrated.

Thanks to the help of our sponsors and Community Collection supporters  all 50 children at the Flying Kites Global orphanage will receive a new backpack filled with educational supplies. We were able to purchase both the backpacks, and school supplies from local merchants in Kenya, supporting commerce near Flying Kites homebase!

The evening was a big success, and we can’t wait to do it again!

Make sure to follow us on Facebook & Twitter to stay in the loop.

Sunday Funday @ The Hudson Block Party

Checking out the eclipse wasn’t the only Sunday funday activity to get into last weekend. We made our way to the annual Hudson Block Party in West Hollywood for some bomb fish tacos, tasty drinks, and ill DJ’s. We even got to do a little shopping while we there. The highlight of the one day festival had to be seeing L.A. band Haim perform. Their energy was contagious and was the perfect lead into an amazing set by Trevor McFedries, aka Skeet Skeet aka Katy Perry’s tour DJ. Please believe we’ll definitely be cruising back next year!

L.A. Market Spring 2012- Gabriela Artigas

Here’s the last video from Canadian up and comer Grimes. I’m not gonna lie I’ve watched it over and over again since coming across this little gem on my friends Facebook wall last night. It’s got this weird 80’s pixie fairy feel which I’m totally into. Anyway, check it out!

Sneak Peek!

Our Director of Merchandising @tiffanyalex in the zone!

I’m way into the whole colorful ombre hair scene. And i’m not talking about your mainc panic do from high school. Im referring to the colored hair trends that have been prevalent on the runways, style blogs, and fashion mags since last year. The beyond bold shades and contrasting colors really make me wanna convert, wear only flannel, and move to Seattle.  Its not gonna happen, but I might try some color in my life (hair). Besides, the whole before mentioned pastel punk hues and grunge roots are totally acceptable in fashion editorial standards these days. I dye.

Pants Party

The reason why we all love New York is because the weather allows for stylistic choices that aren’t possible in cities like L.A. Obsessed with this picture…especially the pants! Not a lot of people could pull these bad boys off.
